Private Project

The farmhouse is located in the region of Tuscany twenty miles south of Siena. The concept for the site design was to create outdoor living rooms near the house using local materials of the traditional farm landscape. A new olive grove was planted on the south facing slope and under-planted with meadow grasses and wildflowers. Lavender and Bay are planted along pathways to maximize their aromatic benefits. Cypresses punctuate the skyline with Rosemary, yellow-flowering Santolina and Broom hugging the ground beneath.
